I made a call to the salon to inquire about children's haircuts for my 3 1/2-year-old daughter's first trim. I expressed my sentiment about this significant milestone and was assured they understood, even preparing tissues for me. However, the experience fell short of my expectations.
While the stylist wasn't impolite, there was a lack of warmth. My daughter had to stand while the stylist sat, and the latter seemed annoyed by the natural fidgeting of a 3-year-old. When I requested to keep a lock of hair, I felt judged.
