A rather peculiar encounter, as I entered the establishment, the masseuse was dressed in a doll-like attire. She and her colleagues seemed taken aback that I was there for a legitimate massage. The atmosphere felt suggestive of a place offering more than just massages, with a rather unkempt appearance and the women adorned in peculiar attire. Additionally, the presence of CCTV camera screens in the massage room raised some eyebrows. James is easy to chat with regarding what you're looking for from the sports massage and other therapies. He clearly takes his job very seriously and is very thorough when discussing an action plan if you're there with an injury. For me, he worked the soft tissue around my spine as I have an acute spinal injury that is really debilitating. I also tried cupping and acupuncture with James which have worked out really beneficial in diverting pain when I walk. The acid test for me as to whether a therapy is working or not is the next day - how do I feel sort of thing. I feel a massive improvement each time I visit which gives me the one thing I'm looking for with this injury, hope. Please avoid this nail salon if you're a first-time visitor. Unfortunately, the service feels rushed and the end result is not up to par. I can't speak for their other services since I only got my nails done. The staff lacks attention to detail and seems more focused on finishing quickly, especially if you're not a regular customer. I recently visited Aloha Waxing for the first time and I must say, it was a delightful experience! Christopher was absolutely wonderful and truly deserves the top-notch 5-star rating! Initially, I was a bit hesitant as I had never tried hot wax before, and it was a departure from my usual wax strip routine. However, I have to admit, it was a significant improvement! It was the first time I didn't have to clean up at home after a waxing session. Christopher is incredibly knowledgeable and meticulous in their work. I highly recommend giving this establishment a chance! I visited the salon for a BIAB infill, though I had initially booked for a full set. Realizing my error, I explained it to the technician, and he was understanding. We proceeded with the treatment, I selected my colour, but upon completion, I noticed visible patches on my nails. I brought this to the technician's attention, who claimed it was due to a darker shade underneath from a previous session—which was untrue, as I've had infills before without any issues. He suggested applying a darker colour, but then the manager (I presume) intervened and mentioned they would charge extra as it would require an additional 20 minutes to rectify (absurd!). I declined to pay more, and he insisted I could leave—even though my nails had already been stripped of the previous colour by that point. They still charged me and refused to issue a refund. Furthermore, the salon was unclean—nail dust and broken nails from the previous day littered the floor, and it was early in the morning. Utterly appalling behaviour! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The lady was very sarcastic and wouldn’t do what I asked her to do. I wanted my nails done; she didn’t have any of the right colours, nor did she shape and file my nails evenly. It looked like a huge mess, I swear. I wanted my lashes done; I asked for a full Russian look. She gave me a wispy hybrid with all the lashes different sizes. I looked like a mess after. I will never ever be coming here again, and I will make sure everyone I know doesn’t make the same mistake of coming as I did. Ew.About
