I visited this salon for a full set of acrylic nails. I had inquired about the pricing beforehand and was informed it would cost £30. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was 5 minutes late due to difficulty locating the shop and then had to wait an additional 30 minutes before being attended to. I showed them a picture of the design I wanted, and they offered me colour options. During the application, I had to alter the design as the technician could not execute it to a satisfactory standard. Subsequently, I was informed that I had to pay £43 for my nails due to the use of coloured powder, which I had not requested and was not informed would incur an additional cost. I am utterly dismayed by the service provided and was unable to obtain the desired nails due to their lack of skill. I indulged in a luxurious hot stone full body massage at City Retreat Jesmond, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from beginning to end. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and set the tone for a relaxing visit. The therapist who performed my treatment was highly professional, taking the time to explain the process and what I could expect. The treatment room was beautifully decorated, with perfect warmth and lighting that added to the overall relaxation. The massage itself was truly the best I've ever had, providing a deeply soothing and enjoyable experience. It was evident that the therapist was both skilled and passionate about her work, which made the session even more special. I have been raving about this fantastic experience to everyone, and I will definitely be returning. I've been to see Ethan for both massage and reiki. Ethan creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, he is so calm and understanding about any health problems (physical and mental) and he bases his work on what you need. His massage felt life changing and it helped with a lot of pain I get especially in my back, hips and legs and it was the first time in a very long time I felt relief from pain. And you come out feeling so at ease and relaxed.
I also can't rate his reiki highly enough. It is the most calming wonderful experience. I have had reiki from a few different people in the past but Ethan's is definitely the best I've experienced. It's like a natural high and the feeling of calmness afterwards is exactly what I needed as I suffer terribly with anxiety and the reiki definitely helped with that.
