The staff were friendly, but the nail quality was severely lacking. I visited this place to have my nails done for a special occasion, and only a few days after my appointment, my thumbs are already lifting. The polish was applied over my cuticles, leading to lifting as it grows. The gel polish was applied messily, seeping into the sides and causing lifting. The application was just shoddy. Moreover, my nails are uneven on each hand, with lengths not being properly checked, resulting in each nail being a different length. It's disappointing because the staff and service were pleasant. However, the application is extremely poor, especially considering the amount paid. I must say, I had my doubts about the appropriateness of this attire. The treatment room had a shower cubicle with a lock on the door. The dressing gown offered to me seemed a bit questionable, as I suspected it may not have been washed since the previous customer. The scent in the establishment was quite distinct. Two large individuals arrived and loudly declared which female masseuses they wanted (I overheard them through the door, and upon leaving, it was evident they were not seeking a tranquil experience). As for the massage I received, it was mostly good. I've been to this salon a few times and had good experiences, until today. It was really busy and the manicurist was filing my nails too quickly, causing me to get hurt and bleed. When I raised this issue, the staff member I spoke to didn't seem to care or offer an apology. I have been a loyal customer of Rosa Thai massage for many years, but this was my first visit to the city centre location. I had a wonderful massage today, the therapist who performed my 90-minute session was excellent and really helped alleviate my neck pain. The treatment room was cozy and warm, perfect for the winter season. The only downside was the noise from one of the staff members having loud conversations on the phone outside the room and slamming doors, disrupting the peaceful ambiance.
