Visited Astrid and Miyu (Manchester) for a conch and helix piercing. I felt welcomed and relaxed. There are numerous beautiful pieces of jewelry to choose from at different price points. I opted for the solid gold pieces. The piercing room was well-lit and clean, and the piercer made me feel comfortable. She collaborated with me for the best placement and took into account my ear design preferences. I was anticipating the piercing to be painful but it wasn’t. She executed it so swiftly that I hardly felt a thing! She provided me with aftercare instructions and explained about downsizing in a few months. Avoid. This place has the strangest vibe around money - they don't disclose prices and attempt to conceal them from you. They seem offended when you inquire about or question the price of anything. I underwent a consultation and as I was scheduling my appointment and departing (after the consultation with the doctor - during which she quickly muttered the price at the very end), the receptionist informed me I had to purchase their skincare products before I could book the appointment. I mentioned that I have had similar skincare treatments many times before and do not require any new products at home (it's a facewash they insist you buy for around a hundred pounds). The doctor then emerged and confirmed I must buy it before the appointment - I mentioned it was odd they didn't mention that during my consultation when discussing costs. I then asked the doctor to confirm the final cost of my appointment and assure me that I don't need to buy any additional products from them - she confirmed. On the day of my treatment, when I went to pay, it was £100 more than what I was told. I raised this concern, and the receptionist said it was because the moisturizer I needed was an additional £90. I inquired 1) why she's charging me an extra hundred if it's £90 (she had already attempted to swiftly alter the number on her end to match what she had just quoted), and 2) that I don't want or need that moisturizer and was informed last time I could use the products I have at home. The doctor came out again and insisted I had to purchase the product. HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS AND ODD BEHAVIOUR. Strange because I have paid more at other clinics and haven't minded, and was also willing to spend money on multiple treatments here, but the fact that these individuals are so peculiar about money and try to negotiate and deceive you as if you won't notice, lie to you, etc. I won't be surprised if this place ends up on one of these "actually a scam" Netflix shows soon.About

I was gifted a full head of highlights at the London location for my birthday and was initially thrilled. However, upon leaving the salon, I felt extremely let down as the hair colour I explicitly requested not to have was created. Despite hoping it would grow on me, several people pointed out how patchy, streaky, and yellow it looked. When I raised my concerns with the salon and tried to schedule a correction appointment, I was told there was no availability and it was just a consultation! Despite my attempts to find a resolution, I was met with rudeness and made to feel belittled, with dismissive remarks about the state of my hair. Truly disappointed... The layout is beautifully compact and comprehensive, with a wide selection of clearly displayed hair products, complemented by hair styling coffee table books and comfortable seating throughout. The colour scheme consists of soft greys, cream, bronze, and green, illuminated by gentle LED lighting. There's nothing aggressive or overly flashy about the design, yet it exudes an undeniable sense of sophistication. My welcome was warm, genuine, and a testament to the fact that all staff enjoy working here (a rarity in the hair and beauty industry!). It was quite remarkable not to have a wet neckline after my hair wash. Being short, I usually struggle with the standard salon basin seats and end up feeling a bit damp, but not this time. I had a skin test done as part of booking in as a colour model, and even that was carried out with grace, leaving no smudges on my arms. My visit was extremely pleasant, so I highly recommend paying a visit to this relatively new establishment (opened in 2018).
