I visited Alex for treatment on my foot/calf. I've had plantar fasciitis for over 2 years. My plantar is healing well but I had many other related issues in my foot. I was set to run a half marathon and wanted to give my foot the best chance of avoiding reinjury. Alex was fantastic, they assessed my foot and calf, provided me with exercises and soft tissue treatment. Alex identified tender areas not previously detected and addressed them. I've completed my half marathon and my foot feels fantastic. I paid a visit to Kaya at Essential Therapies today for the first time, and was greeted with warmth. I highly recommend the Essential Ritual, a blend of body massage and facial. I was given a choice of massage types and opted for deep tissue which was fantastic - just the right pressure. I adored the aroma of the products Kaya used and the whole experience was incredibly soothing. I did notice this spa had some negative reviews but was the sole local business that had availability for a massage on my husband's birthday so I decided to take a chance and booked him in. The massage was scheduled for 10am on a Sunday....at 08:20 the spa called me to inform that they had to cancel due to staff illness. I completely understand that people fall ill and it's unavoidable but to receive this message just an hour and a half before I was supposed to drop my husband off for his birthday treat was dreadful, it completely ruined his birthday. I also believe it wouldn't have been hard to have a backup plan in place (i.e. someone on-call as a last-minute replacement if needed). To be fair, they refunded me but then again so they should! I was asked if he could come back during the week as an alternative "errmm no, it's his birthday today, he's at work during the week and you've completely lost my trust".
