Talented hairdresser but very disorganised. On my initial visit, I arrived punctually and waited nearly two hours to be attended to, although I was satisfied with my hair, so I returned for another appointment.
Yesterday, I had another appointment, upon arrival I was informed that my appointment had been cancelled. The proprietor is aware that I travel 45 minutes from Liverpool. Time is valuable, I wasted an entire morning along with money on fuel and parking. The option to freshen up with a shower between sessions was a nice touch, and Melissa seamlessly managed the transition by changing the bed. She ensured my comfort with a pregnancy pillow for the massage, which was incredibly soothing and relaxing. She then inquired about my preference for a facial or head massage during the facial, showing great care in being gentle. I felt thoroughly rested and had a fantastic first experience at Ocean Rooms. I had booked my bridal manicure and SPA pedicure here and I could not have been more disappointed. The individual working on my hands did not even bother to push back my cuticles, stating that they looked fine. I was not consulted on whether I wanted to maintain the length or what nail shape I preferred - she simply began filing them until I expressed my preferences. The choice of neutral colour was quite disappointing - they only had three neutral shades, and the one I selected was towards the end and very streaky. It required three layers and ended up being quite thick. No one inspected my nails for gel bleed - four of them had it, and it had to be rectified later when I brought it to their attention.
