There was something peculiar about the conduct of the man at Holloways in Wimbledon (he didn’t share his name). I have visited in the past and as he was behaving oddly around us, purchased all the items for our home, worth around £5000, on their website instead of in-store through him. I observed that the British family that arrived later received much different treatment, all smiles and warmth. While on the surface he seemed to be trying to assist us, his non-verbal cues conveyed something entirely different, leaving me with the impression that I was being negatively judged for personal characteristics. I returned recently for something and had a very similar experience. Once again, there was an attempt to be helpful on the surface, but I left with a terrible feeling afterwards. In a world where diversity and equal treatment of all individuals should be a top priority, I will always speak up about instances like this.About
