I simply wished to remove my gel nail polish. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was attended to by a rather grumpy individual. He proceeded to switch the drill head to the harshest one, excessively sanding my nails beyond the gel. After a lacklustre application of acetone for about a minute, he attempted to further sand down my nails, prompting me to intervene. He haphazardly buffed my nails, neglected to shape them, and applied a drop of oil which he instructed me to wash off immediately, declaring the service complete. My nails were uneven, rough, and sensitive, yet he insisted on charging me £15, citing it as a 'treatment'. I booked a spa day with a treatment and light lunch to celebrate my birthday. Upon arrival at the hotel, the spa reception informed us that we were at the wrong location, despite showing her the booking confirmation on my phone. We were redirected to the correct hotel, only to find out that the receptionist had made an error, causing us to return to the initial hotel. When we requested to move the lunch booking by 45 minutes, the receptionist said she needed to confirm with the restaurant first. By midday, there was still no update on the lunch reservation change, as the restaurant could not be reached. It turned out that we couldn't reschedule the lunch as our massage appointments were scheduled around the original time. Despite receiving conflicting emails regarding the massage timings, the location was lovely, and the massage itself was relaxing. My visit to Salon Elegance for a haircut on 30/01/24 at noon left me disappointed. The haircut was not symmetrical. Upon requesting a fix, I was told the salon manager was away from Edinburgh and would be back on Monday, but no follow-up was made. When I managed to reach the manager later, they questioned the validity of my visit, cast doubt on the accuracy of my haircut photo, and displayed a lack of professionalism. Today, I had the most soothing treatment at Primas with the fantastic team and Cherry using the Prime X system. In just 30 minutes, I experienced ultrasound for fat reduction and Radio Frequency for skin firming, and the results were remarkable after just one session!
Targeting specific areas like my back can be challenging. Cherry assessed me and had me lie down. She worked on my back for 15 minutes on each side with a device that felt like a warm stone massage.
