I am genuinely delighted with my nails. In other salons, sometimes the biab looks bulky and appears as if it has grown out because it's not close enough to my nail bed. The technician here didn't rush at all and took great care to ensure my satisfaction. My mother suggested Shout hair to me and I couldn’t be more grateful. Tyrese made me feel at home as soon as I arrived (which means a lot when you have certain worries). Tyrese was professional, highly knowledgeable, supportive, empathetic, and she made a point of truly listening to me (which is something I haven’t experienced in years past). She was witty, delightful, and just a pleasure to be around, yet she also delivered the results that exceeded my expectations. I am incredibly thankful to her! The other ladies were equally warm and friendly, creating a welcoming environment, especially for those with negative past experiences. I have struggled with back and hip issues for years. Scheduled an appointment with Olivia and after a thorough examination, it turned out my back was the root of the problem, not my hip. Olivia has been focusing on my glutes as we discovered they are weak. They already feel better, a lot of the pain has subsided, and I am now more flexible. Olivia is extremely knowledgeable in her field and makes me feel comfortable. She is also easy to converse with. I am delighted to have found her and would highly recommend her. I have been visiting Benjamin's since 2019 every 4 weeks, but today marked my final appointment. I discovered that the lady who usually does my nails has departed, so I placed my trust in one of the other gentlemen to attend to them.
I possess a rather unique nail shape, extremely curved, and I made sure to inform him of this beforehand. The acrylic he applied was excessively thick, at least 2cm. He insisted this was standard practice. I tried to convey that I've been a loyal customer for almost 5 years, consistently receiving the same nail style, and this thickness was far from normal. The man, or nail technician (if you could even call this disaster that!), completely destroyed my natural nails in his attempt to "fix" the situation. He used an electric drill to file them down FOUR times. I arrived at 9 am and left at noon with severely damaged and excruciatingly painful nails. It's easy to imagine that I was reduced to tears. I left feeling furious and frustrated, as I walked in with healthy nails and left with brittle, discoloured, and extremely tender nails. After ruining my nails, he finally admitted that he couldn't cater to my unique nail shape, only to say, "Sorry, I wasn't aware of your nail shape," after the damage was already done.
