I have been visiting Benjamin's since 2019 every 4 weeks, but today marked my final appointment. I discovered that the lady who usually does my nails has departed, so I placed my trust in one of the other gentlemen to attend to them. I possess a rather unique nail shape, extremely curved, and I made sure to inform him of this beforehand. The acrylic he applied was excessively thick, at least 2cm. He insisted this was standard practice. I tried to convey that I've been a loyal customer for almost 5 years, consistently receiving the same nail style, and this thickness was far from normal. The man, or nail technician (if you could even call this disaster that!), completely destroyed my natural nails in his attempt to "fix" the situation. He used an electric drill to file them down FOUR times. I arrived at 9 am and left at noon with severely damaged and excruciatingly painful nails. It's easy to imagine that I was reduced to tears. I left feeling furious and frustrated, as I walked in with healthy nails and left with brittle, discoloured, and extremely tender nails. After ruining my nails, he finally admitted that he couldn't cater to my unique nail shape, only to say, "Sorry, I wasn't aware of your nail shape," after the damage was already done. I was in tears out of sheer frustration more than anything else.

Dawn has been styling my hair for quite a while now and I would highly recommend her. I have tried out a few different colours and cuts and every time I have been extremely pleased with the outcome. She takes the time to have a conversation with you about your desires and offers suggestions. Dawn provides a very warm reception and the salon has a delightful friendly and calming ambiance.

Just got my lip tint done today. Absolutely thrilled with the outcome, they appear so luscious and voluminous. Experienced minimal discomfort, definitely worth it 🩷

There's nowhere else I would go, Jess always does my hair and I have never been more pleased with it. She is incredibly skilled at her craft, and all the other women in the salon are equally delightful. Every visit is a positive experience, and I consistently adore my hair and receive numerous compliments. Thank you so much:)

I visit Scott's hairdressing for my hair wash and braided both times I have been its been done by Alex she does and exceptional job and the braids stay in for 3 days before I need to undo them once I have taken them out my hair is so wavy I adore it since I have lost my natural waves. Thank you so much Alex I will be back

My mother suggested Shout hair to me and I couldn’t be more grateful. Tyrese made me feel at home as soon as I arrived (which means a lot when you have certain worries). Tyrese was professional, highly knowledgeable, supportive, empathetic, and she made a point of truly listening to me (which is something I haven’t experienced in years past). She was witty, delightful, and just a pleasure to be around, yet she also delivered the results that exceeded my expectations. I am incredibly thankful to her! The other ladies were equally warm and friendly, creating a welcoming environment, especially for those with negative past experiences. I cannot recommend Tyrese and this place enough! 5*
