I underwent three different treatments at Kiva Skin over three consecutive days this week as a birthday treat. I had a full body massage with Alex, a pedicure with Oliver, and a manicure with Ethan. It was not the most enjoyable experience. The room was cramped, stuffy and lacked a relaxing atmosphere. The massage was quite uncomfortable. The therapist was using her elbows which caused pain. I left with a very sore back. The environment had an unpleasant smell. I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I requested a simple set of square acrylic nails with a solid baby pink gel colour. However, the technician did not shape the tips before applying the acrylic, resulting in a messy application that left my nails thick and uneven. Despite the promise of fixing them, the end result was still unsatisfactory, leaving me no choice but to spend additional money on supplies to rectify the situation myself. Purchased a spa retreat for two, including 90 minutes of treatments - a hot stone full body massage, facial, and scalp massage. Access to the fire/ice & rainforest spa followed by afternoon tea. Worth every penny. The staff we interacted with were friendly, welcoming, and cheerful. The venue is well-kept and spotless. The treatments were absolutely incredible, the highlight of the day. The staff are truly skilled at what they do. The variety of saunas & steam rooms were exactly what we needed. Spent 5 hours trying them all. The rainforest cafe was stunning, and the afternoon tea was delightful. The rainforest spa exuded tranquillity, with the decor, visuals, and music enhancing the relaxation experience. Will definitely return, especially with the discount return voucher. I have visited previously and had a positive experience. Today, I made a booking, paid in advance, and arrived for an eyebrow appointment. Unfortunately, I was 6 minutes late due to circumstances beyond my control. I waited for 2 minutes for the service provider to finish a phone call, and during that time, the next client arrived. The service provider then informed me that she could no longer accommodate my appointment and suggested rescheduling. However, I am disappointed that I lost the £10 fee for 'not showing up'.
